Commercial Vehicle Operator/CDL

Course Description: The CDL course is a 200-hour, 4-week program that prepares individuals to test for a Louisiana Commercial Vehicle Operator license.  It covers online theory which includes safe driving procedures, handling cargo, trip planning, logging hours, coupling/uncoupling, identifying defects, driving in extreme conditions and night operations, shifting manual transmissions, and more. The hands-on portion of this class includes pre-trip, backing, and driving to prepare students for the CDL test. At the end of the course the student should have the knowledge and ability to pass the CDL state license test.

Cost: $6100 plus $300 test fee
Pre-requisite: Must obtain DOT physical and CDL Learners Permit prior to entry of the course.
