Institutional Aid
The LDCC Admissions Office assists students in awarding institutional aid. There are institutional aid opportunities available to three types of students: First Time Freshmen, Transfer Students, and Returning Students.
The deadline to apply for fall 2020 Institutional Aid awards has ended.

First Time Freshman Merit-Based Institutional Aid for Academic Year 2020-2021
Students must complete the institutional aid application by August 1, 2020, to be considered for eligibility. Students must also submit their official ACT/SAT scores by August 1, 2020.
Award Amount:
- $500 per semester for up to 4 consecutive semesters
Requirements for eligibility:
- Student must have scored a 20 composite score on the ACT (or SAT equivalent - 1040) and have a 3.0 cumulative high school GPA or higher
- Student must be a 2020 high school graduate
- Student must complete at least 12 credit hours per semester with at least a 3.0 GPA each semester while at LDCC
- Student must remain in school consecutive semesters to continue receiving this institutional aid.
- There is no probationary period for students that drop below a 3.0 GPA
- If the total amount of financial aid plus institutional aid exceeds the federally mandated cost of attendance, his/her aid will be reduced (adjusted) by the amount exceeding the cost of attendance.
Institutional aid cannot be used during summer/winter sessions
Transfer Institutional Aid
Students must complete the institutional aid application by August 1, 2020, to be considered for eligibility.
Students must also submit their official college transcript by August 1, 2020.
Award Amount:
- $500 per semester for up to 3 consecutive semesters
Requirements for eligibility:
- Student must have completed 15 hours or more at another community college or four-year college with a 2.5 minimum cumulative collegiate transfer GPA
- Student's first semester at LDCC must be fall 2020
- Student must complete at least 12 credit hours per semester with at least a 3.0 GPA each semester while at LDCC
- Student must remain in school consecutive semesters to continue receiving this institutional aid.
- There is no probationary period for students that drop below a 3.0 GPA
- If the total amount of financial aid plus institutional aid exceeds the federally mandated cost of attendance, his/her aid will be reduced (adjusted) by the amount exceeding the cost of attendance.

Returning Student Institutional Aid
Students must complete the institutional aid application by August 1, 2020, to be considered for eligibility.
Award Amount:
$500 per semester for up to 2 consecutive semesters
Requirements for eligibility:
- Student must have been out of school from LDCC for at least two years (spring 2018)
- Student must not have enrolled at another institution between spring 2018 and summer 2020 and are not currently attending LDCC
- Student must complete at least 12 credit hours per semester with a 2.0 GPA each semester
- Student must remain in school consecutive semesters to continue receiving this institutional aid.
- Student must enroll in 12 hours or more for fall 2020
- Student must have completed at least 51% of their program without receiving a degree
- There is no probationary period for students that drop below a 2.0 GPA
- If the total amount of financial aid plus institutional aid exceeds the federally mandated cost of attendance, his/her aid will be reduced (adjusted) by the amount exceeding the cost of attendance.
