Giving Opportunities

In keeping with the spirit of providing affordable, attainable and quality education, we also support funding for scholarships and major projects which enrich students’ lives and support the college's strategic initiatives. You can truly make a difference in the lives of others through a charitable gift. Not only will you feel good about your philanthropic actions, but you will also be rewarded with significant tax benefits.

Gift Priorities

Annual Giving

College faculty and staff, business and industry, and the community support the college through annual giving to the Foundation. You may make your annual gift in several installments over one year. Or, you may make a multi-year pledge commitment by paying in installments over several years. You can access the Annual Giving form here.

Memorial Gifts

The college has friends who are now deceased and whose lives contributed to the development of the college. You may give a one-time gift or establish an endowed scholarship in memory of such a person.

Tribute or Recognition Gifts

Gifts may be given in honor of a person you wish to recognize or to acknowledge significant milestones in their lives: graduations, birthday, special achievements.

Unrestricted Endowment

How To Fund a Scholarship

There are many ways to provide scholarship funds for well-deserving students to pursue their education. Your gift will make an important difference in a student’s education.

Endowed Scholarships

Endowments are gifts that give in perpetuity. An endowment gift is invested and only a certain percentage of the earnings is spent for the specified purpose each year. It provides a permanent fund which generates annual earnings used to award scholarships or establish programs of study, faculty development or general campus support. The minimum gift to establish an endowment is $15,000 and may be completed over a period of up to three years.

Restricted Scholarships

These scholarships are created by pooling donations from various donors and which are designated for specific programs such as allied health, business, computers, early childhood education, etc.

General Scholarships

These scholarships are established by combining gifts from many donors. Donations of any amount may be given. Donations may be on a one-time or annual basis. Your gift is tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. The Foundation is a Louisiana 501 (c)(3) charitable organization.
