Dual Enrollment Credentialing Procedures
If you are a high school teacher that would like to teach a dual enrollment course at your high school, please review the credentialing procedures.
- Step 1- Determine Eligibility
- For general education courses:
- Master's Degree
- 18+ hours of study in the field of course to be taught
- For career and technical education courses:
- Associate's Degree (or higher)
- 18+ hours of study or work experience in field of course to be taught.
- Proof of industry credentials, licensure, etc. must be provided.
- For general education courses:
- Step 2- Compilation of Documents
- Current résumé
- Official college transcript(s)
- Copy of teaching certificate (general education) or training certificates (career and technical education)
- Step 3- Submission of Required Documentation
- Provide all documents to Hannah Rahn, Dual Enrollment Coordinator.
- Step 4- Certification of Credentials
- All documentation from Step 3 will be submitted to the appropriate division chairs
- Division chairs complete the Faculty Credentials Certification Form
- Step 5- Notification of Approval
- Division chairs notify the Dual Enrollment Coordinator of prospecive instructor's approval decision
- Dual Enrollment Coordinator notifies instructor and high school's dual enrollment contact person
