Dual Enrollment Credentialing Procedures

If you are a high school teacher that would like to teach a dual enrollment course at your high school, please review the credentialing procedures. 

  • Step 1- Determine Eligibility
    • For general education courses:
      • Master's Degree
      • 18+ hours of study in the field of course to be taught
    • For career and technical education courses:
      • Associate's Degree (or higher)
      • 18+ hours of study or work experience in field of course to be taught.
        • Proof of industry credentials, licensure, etc. must be provided.
  • Step 2- Compilation of Documents
    • Current résumé
    • Official college transcript(s)
    • Copy of teaching certificate (general education) or training certificates (career and technical education)
  • Step 3- Submission of Required Documentation
    • Provide all documents to Hannah Rahn, Dual Enrollment Coordinator.
  • Step 4- Certification of Credentials
    • All documentation from Step 3 will be submitted to the appropriate division chairs 
    • Division chairs complete the Faculty Credentials Certification Form
  • Step 5- Notification of Approval
    • Division chairs notify the Dual Enrollment Coordinator of prospecive instructor's approval decision
    • Dual Enrollment Coordinator notifies instructor and high school's dual enrollment contact person
