QEP Implementation Timeline

2011-2015

  • Discussion to pilot a new hybrid M095/M099 class for Spring2012.
  • First hybrid math course offered Spring2012.
  • Dean Kirk Bradley introduced ‘Making Math Count for Me’.
  • Cabinet Meetings held each month in 2013 for SACSCOC/QEP Updates.
  • First Draft of QEP Making Math Count for Me Survey completed March2014.
  • SACSCOC Steering Committee Meeting April2014.
  • Vice Chancellor Don Wheeler implements topic survey process May2014.
  • QEP Making Math Count for Me announced during Fall14 Convocation presentation.
  • Scott Higginbotham named as Making Math Count for Me Coordinator May2015.
  • Monthly SACSCOC/QEP Steering Committee meetings June2015-March2016.
  • SACSCOC visits LDCC October2015 for accreditation and QEP Discussions/Recommendations
  • Official Response Letter received from SACSCOC December 2015.
  • Final Draft QEP Document submitted to SACSCOC March 2016.

2016-2017 YEAR ONE

  • QEP Coordinator hired.  Prof. Brien Dunn is the QEP Coordinator. RM#233, Ph: 345-9175, E: bdunn@ladelta.edu
  • QEP Team meets to formulate QEP Assessment Plan. (QEP Team members are SACS Consultant Michael Kain, QEP Director Prof. Brien Dunn, V.C. Don Wheeler, BOA Lead Faculty and Assessment Coordinator Allison Gault, and Institutional Research Analyst Stacy Ainsworth.)
  • QEP Coordinator presents ‘State of the QEP’ during Fall2016 LDCC Convocation.
  • QEP Committee is formed representing key LDCC positions and decision makers.  Members are:  Don Wheeler, Jason Manning, Frank Boone, Scott Higginbotham, Debra Garner, Carolyn Hodgkins, Sharon Bowman, Janis LaVigne, Darian Atkins, Natalie Campbell, Alicia Rogers, Annie McKinney, and Deanne Kiper.
  • QEP M095/M099 and QEP M099/110 courses offered.
  • QEP Coordinator leads creation of new QEP Webpage.
  • QEP Coordinator completes Program Surveys, Determines Followup Courses to be tracked for duration of QEP Plan Assessment.  The following courses were identified and selected for tracking: Bus140, Nurs112, Math117, Math210, and Chem110.
  • QEP Committee Meeting November 2016 for ‘State of the QEP’ and adjustment, discussion, and feedback.
  • First QEP and Followup Courses Faculty and Student Surveys conducted Fall2016.

2017-2018 YEAR TWO

  • QEP Coordinator continues implementation of QEP/SACSCOC plan.
  • Number of QEP course offerings increased.
  • Library Math Tutoring services increased.
  • QEP offered via compressed video to satellite campuses.
  • Math faculty, QEP Coordinator, QEP Team meet to discuss QEP Professional Development options.
  • QEP Committee meetings each semester.

QEP Coordinator presents State of the QEP at Faculty Convocations.

2018-2019 YEAR THREE

  • QEP program implementation activities continue.
  • QEP Marketing continues.
  • Increased QEP course offerings.
  • QEP student workshops offered.
  • QEP Faculty professional development opportunities.
  • QEP Team and Committee meetings.

2019-2020 YEAR FOUR

  • QEP program implementation activities continue.
  • QEP Marketing continues.
  • Increased QEP course offerings.
  • QEP student workshops offered.
  • QEP Faculty professional development opportunities.
  • QEP Team and Committee meetings.

2020-2021 YEAR FIVE

  • QEP program implementation activities continue.
  • QEP Marketing continues.
  • Increased QEP course offerings.
  • QEP student workshops offered.
  • QEP Faculty professional development opportunities.
  • QEP Team and Committee meetings.
  • QEP Coordinator and SACS Consultant in office of institutional effectiveness will create a report outlining the implementation of the QEP Making Math Count for Me’ program.
  • Final report delivered to Vice Chancellor.
  • Vice Chancellor will deliver to Chancellor and Cabinet.
