CNC Basic Mill Operator

 

Course Description: The CNC course is a 5-week program that includes the basic knowledge necessary to operate a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) mill and lathe machining center including proper machine safety, loading programs, unloading and loading parts, part inspection, along with fundamental machining processes. The use of process plans, inspections, and set up guides will also be covered. This course provides an introduction to planning and editing programs for CNC mills and lathe machining centers using standard G and M code. Learners will set up work pieces in machines, enter programs, set tool offsets, enter work offsets, and complete part projects.
